Imagine a universe that combines the freedom of exploration, the thrill of combat, and the unique challenge of building a life in space. The draw of Star Citizen just might be the attention to detail and fidelity that the project brings. There aren’t many gaming experiences that aim for the heights that CIG is trying to achieve.

With a record breaking year in 2020, CIG has enough proof that the idea is working. And with more Pilots comes more roles to flesh out, Contracts to improvements, and Orgs to investigate. Many roles will be receiving updates as patches continue to fly in. A specific job that we keep our eye on is Mining, which is looking more and more promising with each patch. Updates to the UI – among various back-end services – are making the profession more inviting. The new cave entrances are going to give some nice variation to the current pace of things. I’d also expect a rework of cave layouts along with it. It’d be nice to see some additional minerals inside, as well, but I haven’t noticed a mention of it.

In the beginning of 2021, Assault on Stanton was introduced – one of many Dynamic Events that CIG has planned. With the new update to the Roadmap, we’ll be able to see what’s planned and being actively developed. This includes more unique, action-packed Dynamic Events. The Assault on Stanton missions are just a tip of what’s to come. As for iCache and Server Meshing, we’ll still have to wait and see what happens.
