SCUM entered early access in 2018 and has been improving ever since. It’s a great option for those interested in PvE or PvP action within a “zombie” survival lore.

A defining feature of SCUM is the Awareness and Tactics concept. It has to do with only rendering what your character sees. It’s quite important when understanding your competitive advantage. At the time of this update, the Metabolism system was already a fantastic competitor to current games in the genre (and outside of it). But it was only a placeholder. With the approach of v0.5, the Metabolism system is getting a great rework. That rework, along with a map expansion, fishing, and other unique additions is what makes SCUM a force to reckon with.

SCUM is in Early Access, so the excitement and its success relies on the teams ability to meet their goals. As the company continues to grow, we can expect more content from the developers.
